      Quick Aiptasia Killer

Found 3 on a zoo rock, the big one was stinging about 5 or 6 zoos.

Googled it since I'm cheap and didn't want to buy anything from an LFS.

Get a syringe with a tiny needle, and some lemon juice. Stab that sucker in the head and shoot it up. Hardest part is getting the needle in there while the aiptasia is open! All mine were holed up, and when they closed you couldn't find them. Actually, the hardest part was getting a needle. Pharmacies can only give them to people who use insulin, otherwise they just assume you're Kurt Cobain.

Next day the zoos were opened up real big!

I did this too, I got a syringe and stabbed mine with lemon juice and they seem to be gone. It was pretty easy for me to get the syringe, my sister is a med student and works at a hospital.

Dont know where you live but I have TONS of needles. No, not a druggie. My shelter has a vet staff
As far as getting the stuff on the aiptasia, dont poke it with the needle cause you wont be fast enough. Hold it right over the top and let it fall into the mouth. The aiptasia will close up with the stuff inside of it. BAM! dead.... I love killing aiptasia

I was using the kalk paste with syringe method (no needle) but the little buggers attached in areas that where impossible to attack. So, I got 4 peppermint shrimp and they are doing the work for me now.

I too relish killing the little suckers. I have a bunch in the main display and a few in the lion's den, and tomorrow they will meet their maker. bwahahahahahahahaha........

Mojanos are the WORST. Nothing seems to like to dine on them.

i still do this when viable, but sometimes they are deep in the rockwork, or they just seem to come back, even if i can stab them with it. I have some that I've sprayed lemon juice in their mouth 3 or 4 times, and i swear they come back 2 days later way bigger!

Aptasia X from Red Sea. It is expensive, but it goes a long way and it works.

...... but even with this they come back!

I've had success on the the ones that go deep into holes by just covering their hole in super glue gel.

Klein's Butterfly has been the best working method for me. I dont have any corals for it to mess with so it worked well.

If you find something that works in a mixed reef tank let us know. Those little turds are hard to get rid of!
