haha . I use mothers clay bar kit>> about 20 bucks and works great. just make sure you dont get large debris in the clay bar. knead it often to find a new clean surface to use and youll be good. use a microfiber to wipe after

i wouldn't suggest using the clay bar unless you really know what you are doing, because you are taking part of clear cote off with it..

your not taking of your clear coat off, its just the all the fallout. in the worst case sceniero the heaviest grit clay bar will just scratch the survace, and thats from all the crap that is on your cars paint, not from the bar. i paint, color sand and buff high end cars all day every day.

haha thanks guys for the input. I use the claybar about once or twice before i throw it out. and even then the clay bar is dedicated to only one car.. im pretty carful about catching really large debris in the bar. i usually pick it out and knead the clay often to keep from catching anything. for now i think its working pretty well. I havent clay bared in a while since I waxed it after....and other than a light rinse and a dry my car is just as smooooooth and soft. I was really frustrated a few days ago because a few drunk people came by our house and sat on my car and left a nice series of scratches on the trunk/ hood .

Nice pics! What college at UCSD are you in?

Clay bar FTW!!! I'm currently using Meguiar's Clay Bar and I love it. But yeah, be sure to throw on a nice coat of wax (or two) after you clay a car.

      Here's the Fit.
