Jessy's Travels- Uganda, Africa

Well I haven't really shown too many people where my real passion for photography lies, and I just found a renewed passion for actually editing the millions of pics that I do have.

I love to travel around the world just to capture it in pictures. I don't enjoy traveling for the gawd awful food, or the tiresome long flights... I do it simply to capture that one picture for my wall or album that makes me happy. So far I've been to quite a few places, many of which were before I really got into photography, and many were with film instead of digital. So I have to find a way to get those images onto my computer before I can share most of my favorites.

So, without further ado, here are a few from the Uganda batch I finished last night.

I'm so glad I captured this shot as we drove by. By far one of my favorite images from there. I don't know why....maybe I'm morbid..but if I had to make a book cover for all my Africa pictures, this would be my cover shot.

I've got a ton more but we'll start there.

I went back in July 2006.... Yes two whole years of pictures sitting on a hard drive largely untouched... I'll get more up tonight.

I went with a construction team to build a school for orphans for a couple weeks. The last two days we drove to the Paara Safari lodge for some fun.

I found this little visitor in my bedroom....don't ask how I caught it... it was an ugly little fiasco with a stick, a board, a pair of pants, and a lot of nervous sweat.

There's actually a leopard chilling in the tree. I had to bust out the zoom lense for this shot

Me after white water rafting on the Nile. I got dysentery and a fever of 104 from the intake of the filthy water but it was SOOO worth it... Class 5 and class 6 rapids
