      Nick's Random Nature Photography!

      Just some of my Favorite Nature Pictures. I'm new to outdoor photography, so here are a few from last year.

      This Image was taken near Mt. Shasta - Turtle Bay in Norcal! Please note that I've only had the camera for a week and I haven't taken the Ed Gambler Training 101 yet!


      Tv(Shutter Speed) - 1/500Sec.
      Av(Aperture Value) - F4.5
      Metering Modes - Split metering
      Exposure Compensation - 0
      ISO Speed - 250
      Lens - Stock 18-55 Canon
      Focal Length - 34.0 mm



      Tv(Shutter Speed) -1/500Sec.
      Av(Aperture Value) -F5.6
      Metering Modes -Split metering
      Exposure Compensation -0
      ISO Speed -200
      Lens - 18-55 Canon
      Focal Length -46.0 mm



      This Image was taken in Yerba Buena Park in Downtown San Francisco during the Pistahan Event!

      Tv(Shutter Speed) - 1/500Sec.
      Av(Aperture Value) - F4.0
      Metering Modes - Split metering
      ISO Speed -100
      Lens - 18-55 Canon
      Focal Length -30.0 mm

      very nice justin. Your picture skills have definately gotten better, definately better than me. To answer your question about adding the name. I use Photoshop. On the Toolbar (usually on the left), click on the Icon - [T]. That should be the text.

      Cool Nick! Can you put up some reef shots with the Aperture, and Shutter speed, and ISO sensitivity settings?
      BTW, I just got the 18-55 for my 40D and i like it a lot!

      Thanks peter. Do you undestand now what Dakota was saying about how pictures turn out better when it's overcast. This image was taken early in the morning at around 6:30am, typical San Francisco, Bay Area Overcast/Fog.

      I've always been a pentax guy (had two film slr's) and when I got into the dslr market I went with pentax again. thus I'm shooting with an *ist DL.

      Actually I don't Nick I see distinct shadows in your pic (ie the ceneter of the flower casting a shadow on the petals). Is that from a hand held flash?

      Lol peter, that particular flower in the center is actually wilting, turning white ish..
