My PH was 7.6 and so I added the powder to the tank and immediately everything trurned inside out etc. I then within 5 mins proceeded to do a 15% water change to help fix the damage. Refilled, and then did another 15% water change. I have now turned off all lights on the tank... What else can I do to help? What do u think r goners? Hairy Mushroom? Etc?

They will probably survive. Maybe give them all a little shot from a turkey baster. My question is...Why use the powder in the first place? That stuff is crap. You need to figure out what is causing your ph to drop. Treat the cause, not the result.

I agree Dave, I can't figure out the prob. My Alk(KH) pegs my lil test chart at 300ppm + so its not like my Alk is running low? Any other ideas as to what would cause it? I do weekly water changes of 10% to replenish.

I am happy to report that all made it through the night. Most looks within normal range. I am still a little concerned about the Frogspawn and my Acans. The Frogspawn looks like it may have possible damage to some tentacles. (Hard to tell though since it is shrunk) and same with a couple of my Acan heads. If and when they open up I will know more. For now this is good news, especially since I thought that my Hairy Mushroom was a goner! (He looks normal, just shrunk.)

Current pic of Frogspawn with damaged tentacles

Will my Frogspawn be able to heal itself over time? LMK what you think.

They tend to take a little while to heal up after being pissed off.

Ok, After seeing the last pic I posted of my Frogspawn you can see some white areas on my Acan as well. I went and looked at my Acan and it definitely has some white areas on it as seen in pic... Should I be overly concerned at this as well or will it most likely heal itself too?
FYI- My ph is at 8.0 now and I have lowered my water level a tiny bit to raise my oxygen level in the tank and reduce Co2 from building up in the tank.

I just wanna make sure for anyone else reading this thread: never add powders directly to your tank (unless you're trying to kill something like Aiptasia or majano). You must dissolve them either in fresh water or salt water before you add them to an area of your tank or sump that has high flow. If you see undissolved crystals, you can try heating a little and wait for the proper temp before adding. Avoid dumping crystals into your tank.

Most of these products have instructions written clearly on the label.

I agree. This product however did NOT say to dissolve 1st. Scarry isn't it.

I did this before, noob mistake. No instructions on premixing. Hey Patty, is your Alk low also? I started dosing B-ionic 1-2 times a week and it raised my alk and ph.
