      Adios Amigos

      Hey Guys,

I just wanted to say it's been really nice meeting many of you over the years and chatting on the reef discussion forums. But all great things must come to an end and I will unfortunately be leaving beautiful San Diego late July / early August. I will definitely miss this place and hopefully I'll try to drop by from time to time.

Stay classy SDreefs, it's been great!

Kate (the wife) got into Harvard law school and I got a research position there so we will be in Cambridge for at least three years, maybe four. I would love to get back down here after that but we'll see. It should be exciting times. I will definitely be setting up a new reef tank as soon as I get to Boston. I've scheduled about two weeks of no work time specifically to get my tank set up. I told Kate that any apartment, no matter how close to the campus, was strictly off limits if they didn't allow a reef tank . So luckily I got that much. I have no idea how I'm going to transport this thing or what I'm going to bring yet but it will all get sorted out soon enough.

Good luck with the new business too Chris! I know how tough it is. Kate just started one herself too. hehe

Yeah that's what i'll probably do. Although, I was thinking, I might be able to get a friend to hold some prized pieces and send me a single Fedex box over nighted. Replacing corals could be quite expensive, especially considering east coast prices. We really are spoiled here.

make sure you stock up for the winter would suck to go out in the snow for some fish food.

Haha, yeah i'm not really used to the cold anymore. I had to buy a jacket just for the interviews. The irony is even though I've lived 2 miles from Scripps, I've been mixing my own water for years now.

Cambridge MA will be a good time. Winters not the best but Boston is fun town to hang in as a college student (memories.......)

have fun! Shiver a lot in the winter, and - Eat some fried clams and Maine lobster for us all!

Thanks jerry. Does MA have good clam chowder? That's what I'm looking forward to on those freezing winter days.
