if u want your water clear, it is the way
ok fellas after having about 100 cherry and tiger shrimp it's time to take the tank down. I'm getting too busy to take care of 4 tanks and some have to absolutely go.
I've already given away 20+ shrimp there are still at least 8 more berried females ready to lay eggs and there are a gazillion babies left that will have new homes soon (all pending). My FW Hiatt shrimp testing tank is fun, but will have to come back another day.
Rich, pls don't forget to bring me some if you can on Fri at Dave's. Preg females and/or babies... Whatever you want to bring?
Thanks!
I'll take some too, if you are giving away. I am also considering using the Hiatt stuff on my 75g freshwater setup.

Do it Dave! Do it! Thats my vote. You should see my plant growth from it (with no Co2 system) under members tanks.
I can't just give them away because I paid top dollar for them (though the dollar isn't worth much now), but I'll sell them at a ridiculously low price.

I'm planning on going...
I don't totally have all Cherry Shrimp, but have a mix of Cherry & Tiger Shrimp.
They don't cross breed.
Lots are juvenile and the juvenile ones do better than the adults to start with.
The adults are short lived since their life span is 12-18 months. Also, the berried/pregnant females when transferred to another tank have trouble dropping new fry due to environmental changes/stresses.
Rich you have tigers? From my batch? If they are a new back I would love to get some from you. Let me know
