      security cameras

want to know what people recommend or know of someone who install etc... for homes.

been a little fishy around the house lately, and would feel better having those even though it makes lil difference. where going to get them years ago, and kinda just forgot, but recent activities has arised the idea. just lmk

No first hand exp w/ them, but I did see some cool security camera's on B&H photo.
Some were disguised as floodlights, pretty cool, so know one knows and try's to break or steal them.
The last house I worked was a doctor who had them, and said he could see my work from his office comp.
      Not a bad idea.
      Maybe check Adorama as well.

      Costo

Had the three wireless Color Cameras for $149.00...like they say, 10 minute install...HOWEVER they transmit at a 2.4 ghtz wavelenght which is the same as some of your phones and your home wireless network.

So if your not using a wireless network at home you should be ok with these. I tested them out, they worked good. Actually took the home network to channel 11 and got two of three to work.

You can hook those up to a TV or TV/VCR

Mike: They arent all over the ISM band, just a select channel of frequencies. Good odds that you cna have a WiFi box, wireless phone and the cameras all operating together without a lot of problems. Heck, your microwave oven is up near that frequency. Here a quick overview:

I need some too. Neighbours kids have been creating problems. Came home from vacation and found 10-20 small lava rocks, from another neighbors yard against my garage and front door. Also they sit on my lawn and leave trash behind, broken plants etc.

Looking at Dlink cameras that integrate with your wireless network, monitor from anywhere and record on your pc.

had one, but caused to much havoc, mom didnt know how to work it so we ditched it. also, the reason we want cameras is because there is a guy who has threated revenge on my dad. guy work for my dad and got fired for stealing and having false/stolen information years back. in the process of getting a restaining order, but its hard since he has no info.

thinking of anything really, saw some infared activated ones that pretty neat. just want to see other stuff.
