how do I cut a notch out of a sump

It dosnt need to be pretty....I just need to cut a 3X5 notch from the top lip down to accomidate a skimmer run off...I got a fantastic deal on an aqua remora ev240 and it wont fit in my sump so I am mounting it along side. The thing is I need to drop it lower than the sump to make head room for the cup

I am currently cycling my tank so there is a bit of a hurry so even if you cant help please if you could point me in the right direction that would be great

      thanks Levi

Acrylic? - a hacksaw should work.

drill a hole with a hole saw and use a bulkhead to attach the skimmer to the sump wall, on the ev series skimmers it's ok to attach fitting to the outlet as long as you don't create a back pressure like with a 90 degree elbow
