      Tradewind Chillers

How are these chillers? Noise, efficient?

No personal experience but know they are built locally in Escondido and check with EricF for discounted pricing.

I have sold a few and never had any issues. Let me know what you are looking for.

Also they come with a 5 years warranty.

I run a tradewind chiller that I bought through Eric. No complaints Solid performer. Not the quietest chiller (nor the loudest) in the world, but industrial quality and local.

My tank is a 120 gallon reef two 175 metal halide appr. 8 inches off the water two 54 watt T-5 two return pumps and a euro reef skimmer. I was able to keep it about 82 degrees last summer. Elec. bill is a big concern here, near Murrieta so a proper size is very important. Thanks in advance.

I would go with a 1/5. It uses 3.75 amps. It should only come on once a day.

If we can get 5 people I can do an additional 5% off.

Does it have to be 5 of the same sized chillers or just 5 total?

I run a 1/5 HP drop in on my 120 gallon with 2 X 250 W Halides and 110 W VHO. Works just fine, chiller hasnt kicked on since last summer, and even when it did it was only once or twice a day max for 45 minutes or so. Like Eric said 1/5 is adequate, for Murrieta maybe 1/4. Just make sure the circuit your using can handle the chiller, you dont want it popping your breaker when you are away from your house.

I'm in the market for a chiller also, I'm requesting a quote for a 1/5HP inline (125g tank with 2x150 MH's + 4x54 T5's, external pump). Dual stage would be preferable.

      Thanks Eric.

It can be 5 different ones.

      without 5% discount

      1/5= 570
      1/4= 655
      1/3=855
      super 1/3=845
      1/2=902

So if we get 5 people take an additional 5% off

I also have to add in sales tax.

      Here is all the specs.

I'm definitely interested, but am short on cash until I get my new setup setup, and can sell the old stuff. Hopefully this won't happen super soon!
