      Additive Question

I have a 40G uniaquarium. Heres what I have in the tank.. Glossostigma as the carpet plant, Giant Hairgrass in the back right, theres blyxa japonica to the front right combined with some Saggittaria. You have a big ball of Riccia. Rotala Indica, Rotala Macandra are in the back center, left and some on the rear right. My DIY co2 just started working yesterday but i started adding 3ml's of Seachem Florish a couple days ago. I also have KNO3/KH2PO4/Plantex CSM+B. How much should I add and what type of schedule should i keep up? I'm going to test the water today. What should I test for??

Remember, do not dose the macro ferts on the same day as the micro ferts. And by that, don't dose the Plantex CSM+B with other ferts (on the same day).

How much light do you have? If your plants are not under high lights, they may not necessarily need dosing.

HOWEVER, that said, not dosing [i]can[/u] cause algae problem, due to imbalance of nutrients. (Please look up Tom Barr's theory on this topic.)

Instead of Plantex CSM+B, I use Flourish (not excel). When my DIY co2 goes bust, I just dose Flourish Excel until I get around to filling to up again. Instead of dosing KNO3/KH2PO4/etc, I use ADA Step 2. There are easier ways to dose. But I guess it also helped that I used the ADA aquasoil.

      Edit:
For all of you who are interested in a "sample dosing chart", here you go:
