Lionfish can be pretty fickle eaters...

What all have you tried to feed it?

Try a variety of different meats to see what will finally tempt it to each: Krill, mysis, clam, squid...

I don't know ig garlic as a food stimulant works on lions or not.... anyone else know?

If it refuses to eat you might have to resort to small live goldfish / shrimp....

      black mollies?

Lionfish are hiders/perchers. They like to hang out in caves and such -often upside down....

feed him live fish only for a little while then try feeding small pieces of krill . . that seems to work usually also using a feeding stick and feeding krill/silversides will make him more likely to eat it because he thinks its alive.

I feed mine baby mollies, better than guppies cuz they dont die in a day or two

You can get a clear feeding stick @ Pet Kingdom

let it go, when he starts eating constantly try to get him to switch to frozen and use a feeding stick to move the food around so he thinks its alive
