Hello all. I just wanted to introduce myself. My name is Jon (cubereefer). I'm new to the site. I am just starting in this hobby; why not go big or go home. I'm building in process of building a custom stand / canopy for a 30x30x30 120g cube reef tank.

120g tank
50g sump w/ separated refugium & frag compartments
1/3hp coil chiller
I'll be going with 1 10K halide, 2 reds, and 2 blues
corner overflow
1200gph external return pump
Haven't decided on wavemakers or calcium reactor yet.

Plans for livestock:

Simple selection of fish: Clowns, blemmy, shrimp, snails, and some other very reef friendly varieties. The reef will be primarily soft corals, with mixed in stonies and clams. I want a lot of movement in the tank.

These are some VERY rough pictures of the build...I'm further along now than this now. It will be panneled w/ redwood, stained ebony black and 2 coats of commercial grade poly. Stand is 34x34 and 36" tall. Canopy is 34x34x34.

Recomendations are ALWAYS welcome. This is my first build, and I look forward to many more.

The only pics I have are from the first week of my build...I'm much further along now. The ones I have are attached. And yes, it is a true "cube". Tank dimensions are 30x30x30 exactly (116.71875 gallons to be exact).

I'm not able to attache pics for some reason...maybe because I'm new?
