If you do a search on cyano, you should find plenty of info on it. Bottom line it is just a mask for the true problem that you will eventually have to find anyways.
I've used it and it worked.
But, I've heard a few people say something about it harming corals...haven't experienced any neg consequences myself, but some may say it...

Ive used it and it killed what i had in there then I prevented with water changed and not over feeding. i fnd that the prepared frozen food (cubes)causes problems in my tank
