      Funk Problem

OK, I setup my aggressive fish tank. I used some cool grapevines o make it look like a Amazon river with roots in the water.

The grapevines I used are covered in a white film that looks like cotton candy. There seems to be no negative effect on the fish. The tannins are actually making the fish look great. Should I be concerned?

No, just keep check of your pH as tannin lowers your pH. Not sure if this applies the same in SW as it does in FW, but better safe than sorry right

The white film will go away, I actually soaked my GV in a chlorine solution in order to get rid of that problem.

Yeah I put manzanita in my tank, Looked super pretty. I got the film as well, and it didnt affect my fish what so ever. It eventually went away.

dont worry about the fungus on the roots just do your regular water change that that will eventually go away. My Driftwood got some of that white fungus but went away shortly. Any pictures of the tank?
