I killed 2 apts yesterday that were on a piece of LR I got a while back w/ the best apt killer IMO.
Boiling water.
Quick, easy, and noninvasive.
I just boil water, and use a hypo from a test kit and hit it quickly so water doesn't cool down.
Killed on first shot.
There's a fine line between owning your tank, and having your tank own you!_________________________________________
120G SCA starfire, tunze 1073.02 return pump, Geisemann reflexx 4xT5, 2x panorama pro LED strips, 2x Vortech MP 20's, 40g sump w/ fuge.
I haven't checked this post in awhile but here's an update. I am aptasia free. I used a technique similar to Gotakfu1 and used a tiny bit of pastey kalk. The key was repeated injections after a few days (took about 3). I then added peppermint shrimp, and the tank has been spotless since.
peppermint shrimp really are the way to go, except, in terms of a cure for Aptasia, on the expensive side. Plus they are sort of ugly imho, but if you can borrow them off a friend or throw them in your fuge after your done with then, they work really well. Mine did.
