I have a request....Make it so you can get access to smilies without going to the advanced mode. Too many key strokes going back and forth. And how about downloading Peter's library of them onto the site so the rest of us can use them. (I would like to have more of them)

Just kidding Dave...
BTW, you know that most all the smilies have very easily remembered texts...
like cool = sunglasses
hideeyes
etc.....

I can never seem to lift them for use elsewhere. Maybe I should go to www.smilies.com

Hmmm, not sure what the consequences are to this site, if any, when linking to those kinds of sites for smilies. Maybe bossman can fill me in? Tech?

There is no consequence of linking smilies, if anything, it helps by lowering our bandwidth usage slightly.
I've been trying to figure out how to make it so I can input big smilies without having them in the smilie bar so they don't mess up the right side of the screen.
Do you mind explaining? I don't know how that works...Originally Posted by Technoviking

Sure, the easiest way to explain it is that we have two main kinds of memory, physical and bandwidth. Physical is how many files we have (pages, pictures, databases, etc.). Bandwidth is kind of like traffic memory. So everytime someone views a file (picture, page, smilie, etc.) our bandwidth useage goes up. So by using their smilies we are using their bandwidth instead of our own. I hope that made sense.
Yes, it did...thank you. So it's just like me using my smilies from my photobucket account....

Exactly, I mean the difference is probably minescule, so it doesn't matter. But you asked .
