Minh...have to say...I have bowls with that exact same pattern on it. And what kind of noodles are you using so you can get away with only 30sec-1min of boiling? Name on the package? Everything I find I still have to do ~5min of boiling.
Damn you....Damn you to hell....PB&J's > PHO for life....this is gang wars....
Dude, puppy > knee pads. End game.Originally Posted by MichaelRyanSd
I'll have to find out the exact brand, it's just the standard stuff you get at Viet Dong/99 Ranch, etc. The trick is to get the water boiling well first. Don't cook like 5 portions at a time, just a palm full per portion. You don't want to cook it until it's soft, just get it to be semi-firm. Once you remove the noodles from the boiling water and get it into your bowl, they've absorbed all that moisture and are still cooking. By the time everything else is ready, it will be just right. It's the same principle as grilling a steak. You want to flash cook it, then let it finish cooking by itself.Originally Posted by sandiegan
ahh, therein lies my problem. I always cook more than the usual portion, don't get full off of the XL bowls anymore at restaurants. Thanks.Don't cook like 5 portions at a time
I'll post up some Japanese food if there's any interest.
Lol, I know what you're saying Mitch. Damn Asians, always eating all the noodles!
Sure, post up some Japanese food. Udon comes in a close second to Pho for me.
I get the feeling that TV might want to make a new forum just for cooking
Ramen time.
Ramen with broccoli and scrambled eggs!
