      Plant acquisition

Where do you folks buy your freshwater plants? I have ordered from Aquariumplants.com before, but they charge more for shipping than the plants cost. I know AW has a good selection, but what are the other possibilities out there?

Try the for sale section of aquaticplantcentral.com and plantedtank.net . Most users are very generous on top of the already great deals, plus plants ship great anyways.

It's always painful stocking a reef tank right after you stock a 200 fwp for less than $300....

Thats true andrew. But that eco complete run as much or maybe more than live sand. The live rock is what kills the pocket . I must have spent more than 300$ on plants already since i really didnt enjoy my last scape of my 240g much. I transfered some of the plants in my 55g . Have 30 RCS, 10 Apple snails, 10 olive snail, 30 neon tetras.

oooohhhh nice! Actually really like the way you did the scape. Considering the difficulty of scaping such a long tank, I think you did a great job!
I finally need to scratch my FWP itch... Setting up a tank in the next week or two, if ikea gets my damn lights in... Yep. Ikea.

Got some premium plants for you when you get setup. I got some extra equipment if you need them.

Thanks much Jake. I'm going low tech (as usual), my 4g moss tank at work has been growing GREAT under a 150w halogen with nothing but micro rasboras, rcs, and small amount of surface agitation. I'm going to try to keep the same results on a bigger tank, probably a 10g or a 20 long. I'll let you know.
