The in-sump attachment is just replacing the bottom panel and attach the 90 degree elbow/riser tube/foam unit, right?

I believe the panel where the 90 degree elbow connects to the skimmer also has another "cover" to close up the vents (in order for the water to exit at the top of the piping). I don't remember if it was a completely different panel for the in-sump vs. in-tank, but I do remember that the vents are supposed to be covered.
Can the brackets be used at the same time as the in-sump attachment? My sump's water level ranges from 10.5" to 14" (when the main pump is shut off), so instead of using a skimmer platform I would like to use the brackets to attach/raise the skimmer if I can.
Can my fellow 9010 owners help me with this question? Is there supposed to be a hole near the bracket attachments on the opposite side of the in-sump attachment/water inlet? It seems that a good amount of water is drained via this hole instead of the in-sump attachment.
It looks like this:
This is normal. I was wondering about this too but i was told it's all good. Blus it is a good way of knowing your pump is working.

Hey Allen, your rear hole is leaking water!
As long as it's just water I'm not too concerned
Thank you. For a while I was wondering if something broke during shipment ...Originally Posted by swissfish
Yeah, I think Roger at Tunze gets a few hundred of those questions a week. I wonder why they didn't make it clearer in the manual.Originally Posted by odyssey07
I wonder why they don't make a decent manual. The Tunze Manual (at least the one i had) was as if i just picked up a cheap Chinese skimmer from Harbor freight.

Harbor Freight skimmers work great at the store, then when you bring them home, it's game over man!
Yeah, I don't know why Tunze has crappy manuals/accessories (attachment device/pump clamps/etc.) when their actual products are quite excellent!
