      Coral Cleaning

What do you guys do to keep pests out of you main tank?

Like I set up my new 50g and I don't want any pest in it(I want a real clean system)I dip them before adding them to my tank i seachem reef dip.So pretty much all I want to know is what your method is to keep zoa eating nudis, polyp eating nudis, etc.

My new tank I just want to be extra careful in

      TIA

The only thing I know concerning pests is about the zoas. I do a 1 minute FW dip on every zoa frag the goes into or comes out of my tank. This might also be OK for shrooms, though I'm not sure. LPS and SPS are a totally different story I imagine. HTH

if you really want to make sure your main tank stays pest-free, i'd QT everything.

You have like a million tanks... just set up a small one as a dedicated QT!

I'm pretty sure that thats impossible to do. If its not nudis or FW or Aiptasia then it will be pita bubble algae, bryopsis, matt algae etc etc.... Really your only hope is to buy fresh cut frags or even if you get colonies break them off whatever they are coming on and glue all new entries to dry base rock to avoid the algaes and then QT to stop the bugs. Good luck.

Agreed. A QT system in additon to TMPCC, Lugols, interceptor dips would be pretty fool proof.

Does TMPCC stand for that Tropic Marin Coral Dip?
