I'm in. I think it would be cool to track all of the different methods such as different types of mounting, water parameters, lighting parameters, etc. I, for one, hate frag plugs and disks. I would rather mount the frags to rock pieces.

did we forget about this?im still down
same here! sounds like fun
Is this still on?
I'm working on the specifics. I wanted to let people know what corals we will be using and the cost.
Do we need to have different categories of entrants? Would it be fair to judge a 300 gallon zeovit system vs a non-zeo nano? I'd like to have prizes so it should be somewhat fair. LMK
just size ranges would be easiest...if you get too specific you're gonna end up with 1 or 2 people per catigory.
<20g = nano class
20g-50g = small class
55-100g = middle class
>105g = large class
(that's total water volume, no 12g nanos with 50g sumps =p )
For me its just a fun contest so whatever your system is 1 gallon or 1000 gallons and if you use Zeo, Human Growth Hormone, Skimerless, Skimmer why not just have 1 category like the they did on RC?
I am interested to see how the different methods stack up for growth and color. Although I dont think I have a chance in the color department if Zeo guys are in it. It would still be fun staring at my frag everyday and urging it to grow another millimeter!

Count us in as long as the corals aren't too pricey. We already spent way too much at reef-a-palooza
I will have a shipment of SPS colonies coming in straight from Bali. When those get in, I'm will to cut up three of them.
I will keep everyone posted.
Buy in price will be 10 for each coral.
We need to decide a limit. So far I see around ten people.
I'd love to get in on this one too, is there a list of participants being made?

Hey Im deffinately in!!! We should do a tank tour at the end of the contest to judge the winner. Let me know what I need,,
I'm out for this one...focusing on my fish too much right now. Maybe next time.

Salty fingers since 1989. Current tanks: 240g FOWLR, 15g QT.
Can we get a list started for the people that are definitely playing? Entrance fee won't be more than $40, probably closer to $30. I think 2 divisions will be sufficient (over 100 gal and under 100 gal). Both divisions will have 2 winners (1 for best color, 1 for best growth). Cool?
