Smile Please ProvideTroubleshooting Info before asking a Question

      Hi guys,
I have been noticing a lot of questions lately on tank troubleshooting but they never provide any details. This got me to thinking what are the Basic Troubleshooting guidelines and Information that we need to help these people.

      My Current thoughts would be

      What has changed?

      -Tank Size
      -Age of system
      -Skimmers
      -Filters
      -Current Livestock
      -Feeding Habits
      -Corals
      -Pumps
      -lighting

      -Temp
      -Salinity
      -Ph
      -Alkalinity
      -Ammonia
      -Nitrites
      -Nitrates
      -Calcium
      -Dosing Regimen if any
-Water Change habits and Water source

-Current Actions or Plans Taken since the Event occurred, If any

      ...Any other Ideas

Thinking we could get a nice perfect list and then maybe make it a sticky

      Great Idea!

Many of the reef sites make you fill out a pretty extensive form before you post.

you need to test all parameters, guessing you have a "dieoff" happening
Check Ammonia, nitrite, nitrate, ph, alk

If the water conditions are good I would try this next (if the water conditions are bad...handle that issue and start the below too.)
