good finally some people get frustrated.... I am pretty much gaved up on try to revive the club. I know some because their work schedule and family stuff, so harder for them to make to the meeting now aday.

well where is a good central sd place for us to meet and what night of the week would be good

well in the past we just volunteer to host meeting. So members can see other member's tank. That way people get to see what others setup is like, and feed back from others about their tank. Other wise, you just have bunch of people sitting around, stare at each other. Meeting in a public place make sense if you have large enough crowd and if you have some kind event.

For example, LA and OC club are a lot bigger than us. So they have x-mas party. Used to have x-mas party(at queen mary, long beach aquarium....) and all 3 club's members were invited. After some internal issues in LA club while back, clubs been having their own party. The other 2 clubs are big enough and have enough fund, so they also fly in speakers to talk to the club.

ok i volunteer my place evenings after 6 weekends during the day after 12:00 need my beauty sleep actually im up late fri and sat nights running my non prof. So ive thrown down the gauntlet who is willing to pick up the challenge ???

Weekday evenings are best weekends are for family obligations. Any weekday works for me. Cozy Mels in La Jolla/UTC Chills in Mira Mesa, to name a few.... The last North county meeting was at 6:30 on a Friday at iHop, it worked out nicely....

The raffle was a great bonus – however, getting stuff donated was key... Maybe instead of raising money through raffles to put towards events and speakers we could raise money and donate all proceeds to www.oceanconservation.org or something like that. If we have a better non-self serving cause we'll get membership/attendance. It just takes some organizing….

Currently I am down for week nights, except Wednesday night. I agree with Justin, weekend most people spend time with family. If you guys want, I can volunteer coming up Tuesday at my place. I am near SDSU in La Mesa.
