Got a workhorse 7 and would like to wire it up with 2 54watts T5

J, most ballasts have a wiring diagram directly on the ballast. I take it that one does'nt?

nope nada and the website is a lot confusing if some can simplify it for me

coral diver, The manufacturers are usually really helpful. Just give them a call and they will tell you over the phone.

I did they send me the wiring diagram and said it have to be 4 X 54 watts which i have the thing i dont have pdf in this old pc its wiring #7

You known how to hook up T8,T10 and T12 correct?
In the #7 if you want to run 2 54 T5 it just like run T8 on regular ballast,the difirenty is #7 was design with EACH RED WIRE RUN ONE END OF LIGHT IN PARALELL CONFIGURATION,that is the only diffirence with the regular ballast run 2 red wire in one end.
Your #7 has 4 red wire,only use 2 of them,other 2 just capped them up and leave them alone.

Hook one of the red wires into each of the four sockets and use a jumper to the other pin on each socket.
Now put jumpers into the sockets on the other side and connect them to the yellow wire and fire that thing up.



Every lamp socket should have a least one wire going to it.
