Obviously I cannot comment on how good its pump or how well the fans in its hood remove heat, but the T5 lighting alone does seem to make it better than the aquapod or nanocube.

Can't beat that sale price either...my 12g aquapod cost $120, and that was from a wholesaler near LA.

did you buy yours somewhere near long beach?got my 24dx for about 169$+ tax. prices are cheap but customer service is horrible

Sounds like the same place i went, horrible service.

when i ask to look into the box to check if it had any cracks or scratches, the person put it outside and told me to check it out. he went back into the store and i had to struggle getting the tank out of the box by myself without dropping it. very unhelpful and professional like. i would think that a customer who is buying something fragile as glass tank would get help checking it out, but i think it was my own fault for buying it first without checking. o yea no refunds of anytype from them. they recently been posting on craigslist this year

Have you read anything on RC? Anyone correct me if I'm wrong, but reflectors increase the quantity of light not necessarily the quality. T5's without reflectors are not worthless, but with reflectors they are much more effecient.

my aquapod has a reflector in the hood, there's a good chance this does too.

Not exactly an expensive part, just a polished sheet of tin or stainless steel
