      Bristleworm trap

      found a 5-7inch bristle eating my astrea this morning. any advice on catching this monster. for the past month lost about 2-3 astrea never really saw how big it was until this early morning lookings about 5-7inch maybe even bigger.

      Hey I think on garf.org they have instructions on how to make a trap. Or you could hunt the big ones down and suck them out with a syphon like I did.

      i used a turkey baster and you can also buy a bristle worm trap at the LFS but you have to know exactally where the worm hides and put the trap like 1 to 2 inches from its hole. good luck and happy hunting!!!

      i have probably like half a dozen worms range from .5" to at least 8"+. thx for the advices'. ill give it a shot tmorrow. thx for that site might have to look into it carefully lots of pages

      they really only eat dying stuff. I wouldn't sweat it. I have millions of them, some greater than 8 inches. check out ispf.com or ipsf.org they have a discussion on them
