I am new to the forum – hello … I have a 72 gallon bow front reef tank that I set up in June. I have some cool corals that are doing really well, clown fish and anemones, yellow tang, red firefish, harlequin shrimp, banded coral shrimp, anemone shrimp (x2), anemone crab, and pair of skunk cleaner shrimp. I have a fuge filter with a 750 gph pump, protein skimmer, chiller, etc…
About a week ago I noticed my cleaner shrimp doing this strange dance on the surface of the water, upside down. A couple days later I notice tiny little creatures in the gap between my coral pieces and the live rock. Upon further examination, I noticed they are baby shrimp!! I count around 30-60 that seem to be doing great. They are in the nooks and crannies so no one is trying to eat them (yet). I also notice that the shrimp are FILLED with green eggs so I guess they will have some more soon.
Has anyone had a successful brood of shrimps before?
They are SOOO cute!
(I will try to get some photos of the little guys when I get my macro feature working right…)
