One Picky Mushroom

I have a colony of fuzzy mushrooms, and everything has been fine for a long time. All my corel looks great, real open and plump. All of the mushrooms are perfect, except for the one which used to be my largest. It has shrunk down, gotten dark in color and its 'mouth' is opened up very wide. It's been pissed off for about a week now and I can't figure out why!

Everything else is perfect! Is it just 'his time to go'??
