      Captive Bred Navarchus Angel

I tried doing a pair. They divorced .

This is a captive bred specimen. If you ever wanted to try a Majestic Angel (Navarchus) in your reef, there is no better candidate than one that has never seen/eaten a coral in its entire life. I've had her since April 2022 when she was only 1" long.

      $240 OBO

      Hi Peter,

I'm curious how you tried to pair them up. Did you just put them in the same tank and let nature takes it course? I have a very cryptic navarchus in my frag tank that I am wondering if I could pair with yours without it being too difficult.

Hi Ray, I just used the same approach as I have in the past with Centropyge angels. One large one (in this case well established in the tank for a couple years) + 1 tiny baby. After QT I socially acclimated the baby in a clear box for a week. They got along fine for almost 1 year, but then I removed several fish, and maybe that changed the dynamics in the tank, and suddenly the little one was no longer welcome in the tank. The large one is now randomly really aggressive to my ulietensis butterfly too, so who knows what triggered all this.

To clarify, I'm selling the juvenile, not the aggressive large one, in case that wasn't clear to anyone reading all this.
