Very nice community based effort here. This is a chance to turn your hobby into a net positive for the world. I’ve been to South Africa; it’s the same latitude as San Diego (except in a different hemisphere) so it feels like home. It doesn’t take long to recognize that a reefer from SD is undoubtedly blessed.

Here are more specifics where your raffle ticket money goes (quoted from email):

“Our key project right now is to address the Cancer scourge in East Africa. There is no kids hospital for cancer patients. We have a cancer ward for kids inside our hospital, as do some other hospitals. But this is not good enough; after Chemo treatment kids need isolation; and a Kids Hospital is not ideal; there must be a separate building.

So we are fund raising for all our projects, but especially right now to build Sub-Saharan Africa’s 1st Kids Cancer Hospital.”
