Atomic Echinata

      Just a photo

I picked up a small frag of this TCK Atomic Echinata from PatientZero about 2 years ago.

I of course researched it online and was very intrigued to get the orange color they advertise, which I was also skeptical of.

I’ve placed it in a few different spots over the time I’ve had it, some brighter, some not. I think I’m getting close to the sweet spot, where it’s been for about 2 months now.

If you have this coral and have achieved a more deep orange, I’d love to chat.

      Thanks for looking!

That looks great! I never quite got it as orange as it was when I got it. It did get a deep yellow (mustard looking) under a T5 powermodule with XHOs. This was as close as I got. I changed to LEDs and it’s been more light yellow with hints of green.

@OCDReef has a piece of this from me as well, maybe he can post a pic under his T5 and SBars?

It seems to enjoy a little bit lower of lighting in my observation, it was getting blasted in another spot and turned a pretty pale yellow/green, we’ll see in the months ahead. Would like to see OCDreef ’s as well!

Great job with the growth on that one dude! Not sure how much light you're giving it but my experience has been that it actually puts out more yellow the MORE light I have given it, and not less, even though it is a "deepwater" acro. I still think I can get a little more color out of it because I haven't gotten it to produce that bright yellow/green tip from some of the tck pics, but it has admittedly had a couple of setbacks and it should be bigger by now, but in any case it's still one of my newer favorites. It's a totally unique one of a kind piece 😊

Wow nice OCDreef the color is looking good on that! I have a 36”x24”x16” with two XR15 gen5 pros on it at the moment running 100% intensity on AB+, the atomic is off to the side a bit

I’m using Radions too and I definitely thought mine looked better under T5
