Sump water level
Should I modify my sump baffles yet again?
I never liked how high my sump's water level was when it was on my last tank, so in preparation for a future build, I decided to use a Dremel to cut down the height of 3 of the baffles. Now that I have the sump plumbed and wet, I don't like that my middle section (refugium) isn't getting a spillover with a drop in water level from the first section.
If I cut the baffles noted in my wonderful drawing shorter would that create what I'm trying to achieve? Drop in water level in both refugium (middle section) and return (last section). And is it worth the trouble?
By the way, I would try to cut with a scoring tool rather than a Dremel.
