      Nano Frag Tank Addition

      Hey SDreefs!

Happy to share an update to my never ending quest for new projects and covering my home office in fish tanks.

I’ve found a blank spot for an additional peninsula style nano tank that’ll be plumbed into the main sump.

Tank is made by advanced acrylics. 14”x24”x9” - about 13 gallons. External dual overflow and will likely be lit by an XR15 G6 blue although I’m open to suggestions for this footprint. I’ve use the Aquatic Life Core LED for a similar size nano in the past and it worked great.

It’ll run off a manifold and be plumbed into the refugium section of the sump. Working out a 3d printed sock holder now.

Here’s an older photo of the existing setup:

And some coral shots for good measure

Why would you have a home office, if you cam have a fishroom instead. BTW. The frags I got from you are doing great.

Thanks! It’s a metal cabinet from Amazon we got a couple of years back. I can try to find a link and message it over.

Rocking a little Nero 3 from AI at the moment, but I think I’d like to experiment with a single gyre that sits under the frag racks.

Curious how that gyre is going to work out. Would be nice if it kept the bottom clean

      And. We. Are. Live.

This build came together pretty quickly. Had a vision for the addition for a while, and I’m happy with how it turned out. Had a bunch of zoanthid frags ready to go so I filled the racks with those. Follow along on Instagram or Facebook @TysTanks if you’d like to see more. 😊

Let me know if anyone has any questions or needs help with anything!

Housing a good amount of zoas. Still working on dialing in the flow a bit better. As some detritus settles on zoas at the far end of the tank and I manually blow it off.

      Nano Frag Tank Addition

Update on this nano. So far so good! It’s usually packed full with corals under the racks too but wanted to clean it up to show off some zoas.
I’m *still* considering a small gyre in here under the racks instead of the Nero 3. Haven’t been able to find a good setting to help clear detritus off zoas with out it being too much flow for them.
