Do you prefer to buy frags on plugs or on rubble rock?

I like to break off frags that I buy and glue them to my own rock when possible, to minimize chance of introducing pests to my tank.
Rubble rock doesn't matter to me. Either way it's getting remounted. So plugs are just fine.

Exactly. Plugs for me too because it's nice to have the option of putting it temporarily on a rack for close observation and in case you haven't decided where you are going to place it yet. It buys you time. Sometimes I even transfer to a new plug if the original seems really dirty and may or may not have something on it. And throw a little ball of epoxy on there for good measure lol

100% agree with all the OGs above. Plugs when buying rubble when mounting in my tank. I do my best to not keep the original mount
