      High Phosphates

I have a 75 Gallon with a foxface, hippo tang, 2 clownfish a fire fish and a 6 line wrasse and a bicolor blenny. The tank has been up and running since January of 2022 (about 9 months). I have never done a water change on it. Until a week ago because for the past month or so my Kenya trees and anemones have been closed up they were previous open and doing great (toadstool and Xenia doing ok). I did a 25% water change a week ago and I am getting ready to do a 30% here in a day or so. I don’t have a way to test my phosphates other than my API kit which most know isn’t that great and is known to be inaccurate so I was wondering if someone has a Hanna checker phosphate/phosphorus tester for sale or at least someone who could test my water once for me to at least get a baseline with an accurate testing method(I am located in Poway). I have some GFO and carbon in a reactor currently. I added that on about a week ago. Any and all help/advice is greatly appreciated!
I also only feed frozen mysis.

Happy to test it here with a hanna checker if you want to make the drive- hmu; api should be fine enough to determine a trend. Definitely need to have phos/nitrate tests on hand if you’re running gfo so that you can start doing the math on how much gfo you need to add and how often to stay balanced. Not sure if north county tropical does water testing but that could be another option in Vista.

I can test your phosphates if you’re near Chula Vista. I have the ultra low tester

I found that the key to solving all of my problems was weekly 10% water changes.
