How to get coral off frag plug?

Is there a good/easy way to get coral off the frag plug? Some come off easily but others like an sps I got recently I couldn't get off, and I didn't want to mangle or destroy the coral. I like to pop them off to glue them right to the rocks.

I’ll use side cutters to clip them off if they are fastened with the two-part epoxy. Otherwise a butter knife works great if it’s just super glued down.

And cut the coral? I used a butter knife on a few but one must have been epoxied or something, the knife didn't work. I could have cut the coral off I guess but I didn't know if that would kill it.

Depends. I try to cut the bottom of the blob of epoxy. Some people like cutting off the frag, specifically SPS, to minimize chances of bribing in pests
