Kessil A360X have too much shimmer? Any store have them on display?

I'm thinking about a t5 hybrid with some kessils but I read the shimmer on the kessils can be a bit overbearing. I also read that the t5 can mute the shimmer somewhat. Anyone have experience or know where I can see kessils on display?

I thought the old halide shimmer was perfect and looking for a replacement in terms of tank looks. Some LEDs make the tanks seem "fake", best way I can describe it.

I'm considering Radion xr15 G5 as an alternative.

I run only kessils on my display and they do shimmer a lot. On another tank I have kessils and t5s, and the t5s definitely help cancel out of the shimmer, it’s a pretty appealing combo. Besides the shimmer, kessils are pretty awesome they can kick out some serious par and are great at growing corals. Having that kessil/t5 combo is a good idea IMO.

What T5 fixture do you use or do you have a retrofit?

Before I had kessils on my display I ran the retrofit, and now the lights I run on my frag are the ATI hybrid with t5 and kessil, and if you wanted you could throw radions on there I think they have adapters for that.

Does anyone have kessil a360x with t5 that I could stop by and check out? I can't find any stores that have them on display and really want to look at the lights before I dump close to a $1k on them.

I have 2 360 kessils on a 48 inch aquatic life DX with 4 t5 bulbs. I'm in oceanside if you want to check it out.

I have one on my frag tank, but it's next to a T5 fixture so the T5s kinda overwhelm the shimmer. I'm in south Esco if you wanted to see.
