      Unfortunate event - SCA 150 Gallon 5x2x2

So we were moving the tank into the house today to be set up. My buddy accidentally set down the tank on one of the corners and chipped a decent size piece off the left/front corner. Im so BUMMED, been working on this build since November. The chip is about 1.5” but the silicone looks to be intact.

We have filled it with water and it looks good with no leaks whatsoever. I bought this tank used and it does have a lot of scratches so I think this gives me an excuse to just order a brand new one. For anyone that wants it, I’m asking $200 OBO (TANK ONLY) I have suctions and can help load it if you bring another 2-3 guys.

You can come check it out anytime, I’m in Escondido 92027. Let me know 760-580-2996 Ben

      for anyone interested

I’m not affiliated with this sale but there’s several epoxy methods that can be put in place, or you can get plastic borders for all the corners and put them on with a ton of silicone (yeah that does take away the rimless look) but if you build a stand and canopy you can paint them to match

unfortunate event but stoked to see what you come up with when you get a new one in !

I had the same issue when I bought a tank used. was only about 1/2 an inch though. I resealed the tank and also filled in the chip and crack with silicone. Hardly even notice it.

Yea. I think it would’ve been fine but just didn’t 💯% trust it. So gave it away. Bummer but it’s all good.
