I’ve seen r2r threads where people successfully wrap their tanks (and sump) and feed air into them from outdoor to pressurize them to keep the gas out. Hmu if you want me to dig up those threads.
Iv e done several of these for my service customers. Go to home depot and buy heavy duty plastic and some wide blue painters tape. You want to completely encapsulate your tank. Tape it to the ground. all the way around. just let the filter run and go buy some pellet carbon or a few chemi pure to be safe.
Make sure lights are off so it does not melt plastic. Tape to tank for a good seal and then tape to floor to keep residue from being even close to tank, air out and wipe down everything. I'd probably just run PH's and put heater in display, and completely remove or seal off sump and all cords and hoses.
You will probably need to be there when they tarp, I have literally seen them scoop fish into bowls and just place outside, as they want no liability for their gas killing your fish, even if it means they died outside, it removes liability so be there and they may make you sign a release of some sort.
