MJ133 Mark… needs our help

It’s difficult to post this but a fellow reefer is drowning and needs our help. Delete if not allowed.

GOFUNDME: So I had a stroke in late October and was in the hospital for a few weeks. I guess they had to take a chunk of my brain out and we’re supposed to put it back but I guess they never did. The pic is of the biggest incision they made. There were a couple smaller ones to drain some fluid. I’ve never done this or plan on doing it again, however I still can’t work and bills still have to be paid. I will hopefully be back to work in a couple months. Hopefully social security will kick in before that but it’s probably gonna be less than $1000 a month. (They don’t pay much anymore) and that is not nearly enough to live in San Diego as I’m sure you’re all aware. I just need help getting through the next couple of months. if you would be so kind. I’m currently trying to sell anything I can but people want things for free right now and I can’t do that. Like I said, I really hate doing this but I’m starting to get desperate. I just posted about his help through guys he works with a couple weeks ago in the members services thread in taking care of an unusually heavy garage door, and I know Mark has directly helped other members in a similar manner/situation.
I know in dealing w/ him it was mentioned he could coordinate w/ me on that project but not be the one actually doing the work due to his recovering from a stroke. I'm told by coworkers he's getting better and a really good hard working guy.

He has been a very helpful contributing member on this site over the years, and I really hope people can help come to his aid, this could be any one of us in this or similar situation.

This is a very legit need and situation, I'll help best as I can.

Ok. Mark’s goal is reached for now. As I friend, I directly send him some aid.

As Kung Fu Corals - we closed out this goal with our contribution.

If anyone want to donate more, come down to the shop and I’ll give you credit for donations to made to Mark towards corals. I’ll give up to $2000 more to get him to 5k.

SDR have always been my first home for reefing and Mark have always been there for a lot of us. Let’s go SDR, dig deep.

I just wanted to chime in here. I didn’t really want to post in this forum but I guess word gets around (you know who you are).
Thank you. I just wanted to say I am truly humbled by and grateful for the donations, all the friends I have made in this group over the years and everyone in this group. I’ve learned everything I know about saltwater stuff here. Thank you all so much!
