Depends, a healthy nem given proper conditions and good lighting does not need to be spot fed at all, they will do fine using just light as their main source of energy.

A bleached nem may not have the zooxanthellae needed to process light into energy, so feeding small easy to digest foods like mysis a couple times a week can help it recover and regain zoo/health.

Too much feeding or too big of feedings can actually stress and bring about a stress related split(change of environment also can do this/new to tank)

I usually will just let them catch whatever food may drift into them, maybe once a month or so I may give a small piece of scallop or raw shrimp.

Silversides should be avoided, those have been problematic for many nem keepers.

I feed a few times a week with the small mysis. Mine grow pretty fast and split frequently. Maybe it’s stress, but I’d rather they not get huge in my SPS tank

Thanks for the information. I tested my water and all parameters are within acceptable ranges, so it was procreating. I also squirter a home made tank food recipe every other day, and now THEY, seem to gobble it up.

They will grab some food during feeding normally but I like to give them a little piece of shrimp or fish every week or two. If they are hungry they'll grab it and move it into the center. Other times they will just move it out to the side and drop it when they arent hungry.

The new anemone is moving around the aquarium to try and find its happy place within the aquarium. It went the long way around to where it is currently, located. Not the most efficient creatures, but fascinating none the less. I have been squirting both anemones every other day with a turkey baster full of meaty and chunky food of my own preparation for my beauties.
