      Curious on temp ranges

Been out of the hobby for about 4 years and just cycling my new set up. Not sure if I just never paid attention to the fish recommended requirements in the past but it seems like I ran my tank temp on the warmer side when I lived in San Diego. Seems like 78 is on the high side of the scale for many of the fish I’ll likely want to keep. Curious what ranges most of you are running your tanks at? Hopeful with running LEDs for the first time my temp swings will not be as dramatic (try to keep around a 2 degree max) debating if Inshould go for a 76-78 degree range. Anyone shoot for colder than that? A lot of fish show a range of 72-78. For anyone that runs cooler, how do your hard corals do?

Welcome back, Marlin! Good to see ya post again! I normally run mine at 78-80 with no I’ll effects to the coral or fish. Hope someone can chime in on colder temps.

Same, set point is 78 and I only use a chiller in the summer, so some times it creeps up to 80.

Running 78 degrees in ours with multiple fish and corals. No issues.
