I have this brown algae problem with my tank and it doesn’t go away. My tank has been running since January and I’ve been changing the water once a week, yet it’s coming back. I will pay to whoever that can help me fix the problem.

Post your tank setup and lighting schedule and I am sure people could help. For starters what do you have as far as a clean up crew? Looks like you could use a conch or sand sifting sea star for the sand.
How much do you feed. Frequency of feeding and how much??? Nitrates? Phosphates? Lighting schedule doesn’t really matter. Mine are on like for 12 hours lol

If you get 2 sand sifthing stars,3 fighting conch,5 nassarius snails,2 turbo snails and a few small snails all that should go away in about 1 week
I had the same issue when i started my new tank with my sandbed,as soon as i added 3 conches it cleared up always 3 days after
I found 2 rounds of chemiclean helped clear it up, but the cause in my case was no flow in the bottom of the tank. I added a circulation pump on the bottom of one side and that seems to have done the trick. I also used a turkey baster to blow off all the rock (do this before every water change) and stir up the sand bed. I am about 2 months out since it cleared up and my tank turned a year old June 18th. Also cut my lights for a few days and now run more blue less white for a 12 hour 7 to 7 schedule. It is frustrating and chemiclean may not be the right product for you, but looks similar to what I was dealing with.

If it’s Diatoms, Trochus snails consume it as one of their main sources of food. I put about 12 in my 60 gallon lagoon and it was totally gone in a few days, but that was the initial “new tank diatom bloom”.
If it’s Dinos, it’s a little bit of a tougher problem. You could try chemi-clean with a 3 day blackout (lights totally off), I’ve seen that work a few times. You could also try a product called Dino-X.

Thanks for all the input everyone, as of now my light is running for 9 hours, I’m running bubble magnus, phosphate reactor. But I don’t have much cleaning crew
test your nitrates and phospates. I bet you are out of balance on one or the other. Try to keep phos around 0.03-0.05 and nitrates around 5-10ppm and increase beneficial bacteria (microbacter, dr tims, etc.)

Same it took me like 2 times to clear it up.
Test your water. And go from there. Post your results
