      Acrylic Sump Repair?

      Hey guys,
Planning the new build and wanted to use this extra sump I have. Unfortunately, it was damaged in storage.

Is this something that can be repaired?
      Can anyone here repair it?
It sits above the water line, but I’d like advice if this is a risk to try and use even when repaired.

Not hard to fix/patch that. Run some #3 acrylic cement into the crack then cement in another piece of acrylic on one or both sides and it'll be more than solid.

Rid out has all the materials you'd need for cheap as well.

if it is acrylic, I'm thinking some #16 acrylic cement (thick and viscous) spackled into the crack with a good putty knife, left to dry for a day or two should suffice if this is above the water line

Appreciate all the advice. This is an acrylic sump made by acrylic habitats.

I’ll swing by ridout to get the materials this week for the repair.

Drill a hole at the end of each crack first in order to prevent it from spreading

Good call. Was thinking that last night. It's what they do in car windshield repairs.

      Acrylic Sump Repair?

Just wanted to provide an update and to thank everyone for their help. Sump has been repaired and had 0 leaks on a two day test.

Huge thank you to Phil who went out of his way to not only let me have some acrylic cement, but to custom cut a small piece of acrylic to reinforce the area of the crack.

Thankful to have this awesome community of reefers.
