      2 Part Conumdrum

So over the weekend when my Kalkwasser container was empty and I made the switch to 2 Part. However I cannot remember which container contains what solution. I am dosing what I think to be the Calcium Chloride but it is increasing the PH like the Soda Ash should be and the Soda Ash mixture is increasing the PH very minorly.

Since both solutions are clear is there a way that I can test which one is which?

Maybe dilute a bit of one solution and test it for Calcium?

      Thanks for the help!

adding Alk, you'll see it turn cloudy for a brief moment. Calcium goes in clear.

Also, you can take a few mL or each and add a drop or two of vinegar. The Alk solution should fizz a little and the Ca one won’t.

The above options would work (as long as for alk it's soda ash and not sodium bicarbonate)...or you could always take a pitcher of water (½ gal or so) and test either the alk or cal, then add a dose of one of the questioned containers and then test again to deduce which container is which
