powerhead???

hey guys could use some info ive started a 55 gal reef tank nothing in it but 10hermits and 5 snails and 30p of LR i just bought two maxi jet 900 power heads if i put both in dthe tank would that be over kill??

In my humble, short expirience I would say you should be cool.

You will be fine, I run 2 MJ1200 in my 60, but I also have the return from my sump as well.

im running 5 power heads all at different directions and levels ...the one that does top water turns off at night so the corals can fu*k..................real coral reefs have tons of current so its all good

i cant turn the top water powerhead off anymore at night because when i turn it on in the morning the impeller sticks then i have to give it a twist to get it going and its not worth it anymore ....
