      Leopard Wrasse Aggression

      Any tips on handling leopard wrasse aggression? I currently have;

      1 male blue star leopard
      1 female blue star leopard
      1 female African leopard

      Everything was fine until I added a smaller kuiters leopard wrasse and the female blue star has been very aggressive.

      I have the new wrasse in a medium size acclamation box with rocks, sand and a good amount of swimming room so it’s been eating and not really stressed out.

      I currently have a 90 gallon but I’m upgrading soon.

      Any tips will help to try and keep all these fish.

      Bigger tank would probably help. Are the kuiters and blue star the same size? I know when I introduced same size wrasse, anything similar goes after it. You can try the mirror next to tank trick and see if that helps. Otherwise just hope they get a long in the future.

      I have a male and female blue star and the male will occasionally get aggressive (chase and nip) towards the female. I normally deal with it by adding a little food in the tank. Sometimes I think maybe it’s a male female bonding thing but once I throw food in they go they’re separate ways

      the kuiters is about a half an inch smaller than the rest of the wrasses. I think it’s a female based off the color. I’m hoping the aggression will stop after a week in the acclamation box
