      fragging advice needed

I have a large green sarcophyton (14" single head) that I want to trim down.

The information I've found says to cut the whole head off and I aint goin to do that. Will the coral survive cutting the outer rim off?

Can someone point me to an article or 2 about another propogation method without loping entire parts off?

It'll be fine, that's how I did mine. Just take it out of the tank and into a bucket or similar when you do it.

If you can't take the leather and the rock out, get ready to dial it down the skimmer for a bit, as it will go crazy.

Lucubrator, Did you use a scalpel or use sharp scissors?

I've used garf for years but all I've found was to cut the entire head off.

I have found sharp scissors to be more useful than scalpel.

Agreed. I've used fishing line and needle to attach them to rocks, but I've read that rubberband works just as well. It's sorta fun playing doctor, though.
