      Talking Harvesting wild macro algae

Was wondering if anyone has tried any of the local species of macro algae in their fuge or any other setup. Seemed like a cool idea and have seen some red algae that looked very much like devils breath. Would love to hear some experiences

If you’re collecting it locally remember CA water is much colder than typical reefs. The local macro may or may not do well at the elevated temperatures of a reef tank.

I’d like to add the possibility of adding pathogens to your system should u add without quarantine. I second the previous response about temperature differences in relation to viability.
